NDMU Joins Other MICUA Member Institutions to Expand Access to Four-year Degrees
Notre Dame of Maryland University joins other members of the Maryland Independent College and University Association (MICUA) to help more of the state’s community college students earn a four-year liberal arts degree, thanks to an initial $50,000 Teagle Foundation grant awarded to MICUA.
President Yam to Chair Board of Trustees for MICUA
A MICUA Board member since 2014, President Yam previously served as Chair of the Capital Projects Committee and for the past two years as MICUA Secretary - Treasurer.
Dr. Mouratidis Awarded Meritorious Civilian Service Medal
Dr. Mouratidis, a licensed clinical psychologist and scientist, served the Department of Defense (DoD) by providing clinical services to returning service members from Iraq and Afghanistan. Since joining the NDMU faculty, she has continued to provide voluntary service to the DoD by serving on Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program external advisory boards, and through her appointed service on the Army Science Board since 2012.
NDMU Joins COVID-19 College Vaccination Challenge
Meeting the President’s 70% goal is critical to save lives and help return our campus and our nation to normal. Throughout the pandemic, NDMU prioritized the health and safety of the community and in recent months encouraged all members of our campus community to seek COVID-19 vaccinations.
