(BALTIMORE, Md.) – Notre Dame of Maryland University was named to the 2022 Transfer Honor Roll as one of the nation’s best colleges or universities in developing strong pathways for transfer students to succeed.
Dr. Riekers graduated from the (former) Essex Community College Physician Assistant Program in 1998. After that, she began her clinical practice as a Physician Assistant in gynecologic oncology, later becoming the lead PA for the medical hospitalist service at Anne Arundel Medical Center. Dr. Riekers led twelve PA colleagues caring for inpatient medical and surgical patients. Before joining the NDMU PA Studies Program as its Clinical Director, she worked as part of a PA inpatient neurosurgical team at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr.
BALTIMORE – Five Notre Dame of Maryland University students recently participated in the annual Washington Model General Assembly of the Organization of American States (WMOAS), a unique opportunity which connected them with fellow students from all regions of the Western hemisphere.

BALTIMORE – A graduate of Notre Dame of Maryland University’s Leadership in Teaching: STEM master’s program was the recent recipient of a $30,000 award sponsored by the Central Intelligence Agency to promote science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM) education at his school in Northeast Baltimore.
