BALTIMORE – Alicia Amaral Freeman, a 2008 graduate of Notre Dame of Maryland University’s Master of Arts in TESOL program, was announced recently as the 2022-23 Teacher of the Year for Baltimore County.
BALTIMORE – When Notre Dame of Maryland University visited Hannah Siegert’s high school during her junior year, she almost skipped the information session.
Her teacher, though, convinced her to give NDMU a try, and five years later Siegert is set to graduate from a school that she instantly fell in love with. A political science major with a double minor in history and women’s studies, Siegert will be starting a job in Washington D.C. with Wave Fundraising, in partnership with the American Civil Liberties Union following her graduation in May.
BALTIMORE – Originally from Puerto Rico, Paola Rivera Mudafort D’22 first came to Maryland 10 years ago after enrolling at Goucher College for her undergraduate studies.
It was at another local school where two more important events occurred for Rivera Mudafort: she decided she wanted to become a pharmacist, and she was introduced to Notre Dame of Maryland University for the first time.
BALTIMORE – Family has always been important for Taylor Bynion ’22. A native of Harford County, Maryland, Bynion knew that staying close to home would be a priority as she decided where to attend college.
Her ultimate decision to enroll at Notre Dame of Maryland University was also influenced by family members. Bynion’s aunt, Lynn Kalkowski, graduated from Notre Dame in 1998 while her grandmother, Irma, previously worked in graduate admissions, and both spoke glowingly of their time on campus.
BALTIMORE – Several Women’s College students were highlighted for their participation in Notre Dame of Maryland University’s IMPRINT program during a celebratory event at Fourier Library last week.
Ms. Annie Herold has transitioned from the financial sector to participate in the development of the Notre Dame of Maryland University (NDMU) Physician Assistant Studies Program. She characterizes her accomplishments as having demonstrated experience in all aspects of office administration. Once Annie began seeking new opportunities after the Covid19 sequestration, she considered opportunities that would allow her to build upon her substantial experience. Subsequently, she became the Administrative Coordinator for the NDMU Physician Assistant Studies Program in May 2022.
