The use of integrative health practices, like yoga, mindfulness, acupuncture and herbal medicine continues to rise for managing chronic illness and pain, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression and more. In 2002, fewer than one in five Americans reported using an integrative health practice — by 2022, that number had nearly doubled. Against this backdrop of increased interest and growing shortages, the launch of Notre Dame of Maryland University‘s School of Integrative Health — a merger of the former Maryland University of Integrative Health into NDMU — couldn’t be more timely.

Notre Dame of Maryland University in North Baltimore continues to find innovative and collaborative ways to help address workforce shortages.
This time, NDMU is collaborating with Milwaukee’s Mount Mary University to address staffing shortages in education and social work, with a joint agreement to increase the number of students with advanced degrees.
The joint agreements between NDMU and Mount Mary will enable master’s students in education at Mount St. Mary to transition into one of two NDMU online doctorate in education programs. The partnership will save time and money to earn two
